RUSTY WALLACE AMONG HONOREES AT 24TH ANNUAL GREAT SPORTS LEGENDS DINNER
--Racing Legend Joins Troy Aikman, Brett Hull and Others as 2009 Honorees--

NEW YORK (October 5, 2009)--Former NASCAR Cup Series champion and ESPN auto racing analyst, Rusty Wallace, will be among nine sports legends honored at New York's Waldorf=Astoria Tuesday evening, during the 24th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner, to benefit The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis.

The event will be held in the Waldorf=Astoria's Grand Ballroom and feature legendary sports broadcaster, Bob Costas, as its Master of Ceremonies.  Following Tuesday evening's event, Wallace will join Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip and Benny Parsons as the only stock car drivers to be honored in the 24 annual editions of the dinner.

Joing Wallace as 2009 Sports Legend Honorees are Troy Aikman, Clyde Drexler, Brett Hull, Mike Piazza, Ivan Lendl, Pat Day, Dara Torres and Chris Waddell.  Famed poet, Maya Angelou, will be among the recipients of four other awards given during the event.
