RUSTY WALLACE NAMED TO NMPA HALL OF FAME
--Former Champion Joins 2010 Class That Includes Penske, Roush and Yates--

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 10, 2009)--The National Motorsports Press Association announced this week the 2010 inductees into its Hall of Fame.  Headlining the class of four is former NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Rusty Wallace.

Wallace currently ranks eighth on the all-time Cup Series win list and won at least one race in a record-tying 16 consecutive seasons.  He now serves as a television analyst and a NASCAR Nationwide Series team owner.

Joining Wallace in the 2010 class is his mentor and former car owner, Roger Penske, as well as two other well-known car owners, Jack Roush and Robert Yates.  The class will be inducted on January 16, 2010 at a ceremony in Concord, NC.

Wallace and company join a Hall of Fame that includes a select group of approximately 80 members, such as: Bill France Sr., Bill France Jr., Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, David Pearson, Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson, Cale Yarborough, A.J. Foyt, Harry Hyde, Bud Moore, Glen Wood and Leonard Wood.

The National Motorsports Press Association was formed more than 40 years ago. It features motorsports writers, broadcasters and photographers from throughout the U.S. and abroad.
