LOUDON, NH (June 27, 2009)—Rusty Wallace Racing's Steve Wallace (No. 66 USfidelis Chevrolet) scored his 11th top-15 finish of 2009 Saturday afternoon in the Camping World RV Sales 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Wallace's 11th-place effort was the best of his career at New Hampshire and marked his fourth-straight top-15 finish.

After starting from the 24th position, Wallace was one of the race's fastest movers in the early going, wheeling past the No. 29 of Clint Bowyer and into the 11th position by lap 83 of 200.  He would ultimately climb as high as eighth position and spend all but 19 laps among the top-15 during the afternoon's event.

With his result, Wallace continued his career-best run in the Nationwide Series standings, spending a third consecutive week among the top-ten and jumping one spot to ninth.  He continues a ferocious battle with teammate Brendan Gaughan, now sitting a mere 21 points behind Gaughan for eighth and only 87 points adrift of Mike Bliss for sixth-place.

Said Wallace, "We had a good car today; we were probably fast enough to run fifth or sixth, but it just wasn't meant to be.  We really need to work on our qualifying runs, because it's so hard to make up track position, as short as these races are.  I'm happy with how consistent we've been lately; now we've just got to try to elevate our team to that next level and compete for wins."

Meanwhile, Wallace's RWR teammate, Brendan Gaughan (No. 62 5-Hour Energy Extra Strength Chevrolet)  had to be quite resilient en route to his 21st-place effort in Loudon.  The Las Vegas native was one to watch in the early going, rocketing 17 positions from his 38th place start and into 21st position by lap 64.  However, in the meantime, Gaughan's poor starting position ultimately caught up to him, when he went one lap down to the leaders around lap 50.

Despite their strong fight to regain their lost lap, Gaughan and the No. 62 team remained a lap down for the duration of the event, en route to a 21st place finish.

With his effort in New Hampshire, Gaughan retained his eighth-place ranking in the Nationwide Series standings; he maintains a 21-point gap over his teammate, Wallace.  Gaughan also retained the lead in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings by one point over Justin Allgaier.

Noted Gaughan, "Our team worked really hard today, but we were just a bit off on the setup.  We could never quite get the handling right.  With the qualifying run we had, we had to be fast right off the bat, but unfortunately, we needed some time to work on our car.  Once we ended up going that lap down, it was just really hard to get it back.  Luckily, we didn't take too large of a hit in the points, so we'll lick our wounds and head to Daytona.  I know we'll have a strong 5-Hour Energy Chevrolet there."
