RUSTY WALLACE NAMED AMONG TOP-TEN GREATEST NASCAR DRIVERS

MOORESVILLE, NC (December 1, 2008)—Editors of NASCAR Scene and NASCAR Illustrated recently released their ranking of the “60 Greatest Cup Drivers of NASCAR’s First 60 Years,” in the November 27th issue of NASCAR Scene.

Former Cup Series champion and ABC / ESPN Lead Auto Racing Analyst, Rusty Wallace, was ranked among the top-ten in the all-time ranking, slotting in the tenth position.  Wallace’s 55 career victories mark the eighth-best career mark in NASCAR history, while his 16 consecutive seasons with at least one victory is the third-best total all-time.

The publications stated that their editorial staffs took into consideration not only statistical achievements, but also “weighed the value of significant individual wins and the impact each driver has had on the sport through its evolution.”
